Fragments
2024
Mediums: Photography, Printing, 3D Photogrammatary

This project explores the unconscious spaces that exist within dreams and is realised through a book publication that investigates how these spaces are formed through memory, perception, and fragmentation. These environments are only ever experienced as whole in fleeting moments; the deeper we attempt to examine or recall them, the more unstable and indistinct they become.

Through the use of 3D mapping and photogrammetry, I have constructed spatial representations of real-world environments that are abstracted into finely curated point clouds. The process explores the relationship between positive and negative data, using translation, distortion, and reconstruction as methods for navigating the terrain of dreams and memory.

By transforming physical spaces into fragmented digital remnants, the work reflects on the nature of unconscious reality a reality that exists only temporarily in the mind, and whose meaning dissolves the closer we attempt to define it.
